Overview

EasyNewsGrab is a Chrome extension that lets users capture full-page screenshots of webpages and export them as PNG, PDF, or clipboard content. This privacy policy explains what information the extension handles and how it is used. We believe strong privacy is a feature, not an afterthought, and EasyNewsGrab has been designed from the ground up to keep all of your data on your own device.

        Summary: EasyNewsGrab does not collect, store,
        transmit, sell, or share any personal information. Everything the
        extension does happens locally in your browser. There is no account,
        no analytics, no tracking, and no server.
      

Information We Collect

EasyNewsGrab does not collect any personally identifiable information, financial information, authentication credentials, personal communications, location data, health information, web browsing history, or user activity. The extension does not use cookies, does not run analytics, and does not make network requests to any external server.

How the Extension Works

When you click the EasyNewsGrab toolbar icon on a webpage, the extension captures images of the page currently visible in your browser tab using Chrome's built-in screenshot API. These images are processed entirely within your own browser and are temporarily held in local browser storage only long enough to stitch them into a single image and display the result in a new tab. You can then download the result as a PNG or PDF file or copy it to your clipboard. No captured content is sent to us or to any third party at any point.

Permissions and Why They Are Needed

activeTab — lets the extension act on the tab you have open only when you click the toolbar icon.
scripting — required to inject the small script that scrolls the page and coordinates the capture.
storage and unlimitedStorage — lets the extension temporarily hold the captured image in local browser storage so the viewer tab can display and export it. Nothing is uploaded.

Data Sharing and Selling

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer any user data to third parties. We do not share data for advertising, marketing, or analytics purposes. We do not use or transfer user data for any purpose unrelated to the extension's single core function of capturing full-page screenshots. We do not use or transfer user data to determine creditworthiness or for any lending purpose.

Data Retention and Deletion

Because no data is collected or transmitted, there is no server-side data to retain or delete. Captured images are held in your local browser storage only while you are viewing them and are cleared automatically once the viewer tab is closed. You may also clear any remaining extension storage at any time by removing the extension from Chrome.

Children's Privacy

EasyNewsGrab is not directed to children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes in the future, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a revised "Last updated" date. Material changes will be reflected in the extension's Chrome Web Store listing.
